Howlin' at the moooooon

Hey dawgs, just to let you know what's been happening to me... old age is starting to wear this SOB down down down..... i s'pose it's all the biting of my mama's sister-in-law or maybe it's the loss of my step-sis Dorothy,,,,,,, but the past two months I've had seizures. Not the itty bitty, bug in your nose seizure but the kind that seize me up and make me like an ironing board. THE most embarrassing part of the whole thing is that I lose control.... um... yeah, THAT control... mama and papa clean me up but I almost made mom yak the first time. I'll give her credit though, it was 2AM and she didn't have her work face on, and she didn't actually yak, just the, well, you know, the reflex action..... anyway, a month went by and the same thing happened on monday, so it does seem like I'm aiming at the moon but what the hey? I'm still around, I stilll love sniffing and barking at things and my mom & dad really love me so how can I leave just yet?

just another day in paradise

hi all! Kodiak here, well all the guys have packed up and gone and we now have silence, woofeeessss. I can now hang out wherever i want, although it is my big brother's toilet i like the best..... so cool and nice ahhhhhh I know i don't post as often as i should but i am getting pretty old and slow, there, i admit it..... I can't see out of my left eye, my right eye leaks, and my hearing is iffy but let me tell you my NOSE is the best in the world. For example, i know my friends the chuck-berries have moved into their summer home just beyond the fence line. i can smell them mmmmmm and since i polished off the grand-dad a few years back i've been biding my time.... heh heh

Stop it already!!!

Well everyone i've had it up to here with the noise around here. Mom&Dad have had a new roof put on and now the workers are putting on siding. Stinking banging around here all the time I am so fed up. i really don't believe the guys are working because they seem to be marionettes in front of the windows and doors.. i keep barking at them but they won't move on, give me a break guys you are seriously infringing on my napping pleasure. not only do they dance around the windows but then they leave my patio and backyard a mess!! i mean really, should i have to tiptoe around nails, ladders, shreds of this and that?!?! NO! however, i did find a bag of potato chips that the guys leave out... seriously though all my outdoor lights are off and i can barely see at night and at 3am forget it! listen friends, i'll try and post pictures later... i'm going to hug the toilet.... woofs and licks to all

Easter Monday

Hello friends, Kodiak here. We had a nice Easter here yesterday, more or less. Why? Well Mom and Papa went to church, they came home, changed, and went out again!! I still can't get over that they don't want to take me along! (mom's note: if he didn't eat every sister-in-law we probably would....) Anyway, they finally got home in time to feed me and I got to go out and it was still sunny!!! yhippee, woohoo!! Papa decided to take me for a walk in the early evening and I don't know what got into him but he took me straight up a mountain, along a ridge, and then back down. We both had to stop on the way up and again at the top. Mom says that my tongue was purple and hanging to the floor when we got home. I also heard her telling Papa that I was too old to climb mountains..... hahahahha I think she actually meant Papa! We were both out of breath when we got home... Mom got out of the shower this morning and I heard her laughing...she was still thinking about us getting home after the walk... ok, I'm sleeping all day today, I'll try and get a picture later... byeeeee

dad's new ride

So dad finally got with the MINI program!

Now he's got a MINI i can ride in!

It's a 2008 Clubman which is kind of a MINI station wagon. It's a little bit longer and a little bit wider than a regular MINI so dad can haul his music gear. I can't wait to ride in it!! ummmmmm, maybe not....seems like the only time i ride in a car is to go to the vet!!!!

Good thing dad got these pictures taken when he did because the next day it snowed 8 inches!!!

can you believe it? dad didn't know about this blog! he swears mom didn't tell him about it but i heard her tell him.
sometimes i guess he just doesn't listen. i know all too well that is the case! when i am outside browsing in the back yard he asks me to come in and i tell him all about the good stuff i am finding but he just ignores what i am telling him and goes and gets the leash and brings me in! can you believe it?

so anyway, dad and i have been going on lunchtime walks now that the weather is a bit better. it rained some this week so we didn't go too much. we used to go out on night walks but dad got busy with work(he goes out a lot at night to play music) so we stopped going out at night. the daytime walks are better for me too since i don't see too well anymore---my nose gets sore from when i hit the corner of the cabinet on my left side when i turn too fast and forget it's there!
i like being out on a walk during the day. i don't get as scared since i can see everything. when i can't see, i bark too much and get too uptight!

i have to tell you about the squeaky mom got me a couple of months ago, it was GREAT!!. it was a toy of prez bush in the shape of a lame duck! he tasted soooooooo good, i had him chewed up by the end of the day!!
